NYRA to host job fair for July 4th Racing Festival and Saratoga summer meet

Just days following the conclusion of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will host a job fair for individuals interested in employment during the special July 4th Racing Festival and 40-day summer meet at Saratoga Race Course.

The one-day job fair will take place on Thursday, June 12 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the 1863 Club at Saratoga Race Course. Applicants should enter through the Wright Street entrance (Gate 8) with parking available in the adjacent lot.

Prospective summer job candidates will be able to meet with representatives from NYRA, Can Do Sports & Entertainment Cleaning, Integrated Staffing, and Union Square Events, among others.

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have New York State Certified Working Papers. Those interested in positions as security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply; security guards must have a high school degree or GED. All applicants must present a photo ID and Social Security card or I-9 alternative.

The July 4th Racing Festival, typically held at Belmont Park, will take place from Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6 at Saratoga while construction continues on a new Belmont Park. The 40-day summer meet will open Thursday, July 10 and continue through Monday, September 1.
