Pick 6 carryover of $15K on Friday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $15,391 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $135.01 to bettors who selected 4-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with an upset win from the 37-1 longshot Tiote [No. 2, $77.46] in a 6 1/2-furlong New York-bred starter allowance with jockey Jose Baez aboard for trainer Dana Saul.
Trainer John Kirby sent out the next winner as the Kendrick Carmouche-piloted Lucky Dude [No. 8, $6.24*] captured a seven-furlong starter optional claimer, in Race 4. The next race saw jockey Sahin Civaci and New York-bred Calling an Audible [No. 10, $21.44] win a seven-furlong claimer for trainer Edward Barker, in Race 5.
In Race 6, Carmouche visited the winner’s circle for the third time on the card aboard Brunch With Amy [No. 1, $6.84] in a seven-furlong starter allowance for trainer Linda Rice. In Race 7, a 6 1/2-furlong starter optional claimer, Jose Lezcano navigated the New York-bred Ten Cent Town [No. 4, $12.48] to victory against open company for trainer Michael Miceli.
With the carryover already guaranteed before the Race 8 finale, a one-turn mile claimer, the Rachel Sells-trained Ambition [No. 6, $19.86] proved best with Christopher Elliott in the saddle.
Friday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at approximately 2:11 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 1:10 p.m.
